What do you learn in entrepreneurship major?

Everyone has a different idea of what you should learn in an entrepreneurship major, but as stand-alone classes I'd recommend:

1) Introduction to Management — This is all about how people run businesses and functions. The class starts off with how companies are structured, then moves into how the CEO operates the company, and then the effects of those decisions on the rest of the company's structures. It's not a core class, so you don't need it to be happy doing your own thing.

2) Finance — You'll probably take this course as part of your general economics degree, but it's very important that if you want to leave school with enough money to start a business that you actually get some sort of basic understanding of finance.

3) Entrepreneurship — The only entrepreneurship course offered at your school is run by one professor who teaches 50 students for four hours per week. Class size is small (no more than 12 students), so you won't have trouble meeting new people there or getting feedback from upperclassmen about their experience running businesses.

4) Entrepreneurship 101: Teach Yourself How to Start Your Own Business — My favorite book on entrepreneurship and writing a business plan is 'How To Start Your Own Business' by Alan We
